Introduction:
We have implemented the CA Application Performance Management (APM) Integration with CA API Gateway (APIM) through CA Precision API Monitoring.
Some of our gateways are making MQ calls.
Question:
We would like know if it is feasible for this integration to monitor and capture details of the MQ activities, such as the MQ url , MQ name and other related details?
Environment:
CA Application Performance Management (APM) and CA API Gateway (APIM) via CA Precision API Monitoring
Answer:
Generally, in a scenario where a Java application is making MQ calls, CA APM has the ability to monitor MQ activities through the implementation of Java Agent and its MQ extension.

However, in your case, if it involves Gateway API making MQ calls, there isn't such MQ extension available in the EPAgent used for the APM-APIM integration. You will need to install an APM Java Agent to monitor the MQ activities.
