Question:

After successfully installing a Release Automation agent on a Linux or Unix OS, the installer automatically sets permissions for the "/NolioAgent/temp_files folder" to 777 (world-writable).

Because sensitive files may pass through this folder during deployments, one's security policy might require stricter permissions on this folder.  Is it possible to alter the permissions level of "temp_files" without disrupting the agent's ability to function properly?

Environment:
Any Unix, Linux, or similar platform (such as AIX).
Answer:

Permissions may safely be changed for the temp_files folder so as to limit access to it.

For example, it has been verified the following change may be made to the agent installation directory:

chmod -R 775 /NolioAgent (or whatever other directory it might have been installed to).
