Question:

Can old un-needed transactions and CIs be removed from TWA (Transnational Work Area)?

Environment:
CA Service Desk Manager - ALL VERSIONS
Answer:

Yes, there are archive/purge rules that you can apply to TWA, however, if those fail to remove the rogue records, you can remove old, un-needed data from TWA by using SQL or Oracle tools and removing the records in the following tables:

ci_twa_ci

ci_twa_ci_relation

IMPORTANT NOTE:  This should ONLY be done if the Archive/Purge rules for TWA are not working in your environment.

***As a caution - even though we do not expect to see any problems in doing this, we ALWAYS recommend backing up the data in those two tables prior to removing it so that you have it just in case any problems should arise where you need that data***
