Introduction:

To free up some space on the installation drive, you can move Nimsoft archive folder to a different drive with more space without interrupting operation.

Instructions:

Note: The archive directory must exist under the real nimsoft install folder  <drive path>/nimsoft/<archive folder>

1. Disable the distsrv and ADE probes

2. Move the Nimsoft Archive folder to the new drive

3. Create a symbolic link pointing to the new location

mklink /d <specifies the new symbolic link name.>  <specifies the path (relative or absolute) of the new link.>

Example:

C:\Users\Administrator>mklink /d c:\"Program Files (x86)"\Nimsoft\archive d:\archive

symbolic link created for c:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\archive <<===>> d:\archive

4. Re-enable the distsrv and ADE probes
