Question:

Can a CA TPX user logon to the same application with multiple sessions using a single userid?

Answer:

Whether or not the user can sign on to an application more than once at a time using the same userid is a function of that application, not CA TPX.

TPX supports multiple sessionIDs specifying the same VTAM Applid so a user can have more than one session for a particular application.

For example:

You can have a user that has two user IDs for a TSO session. If you add two sessions with the same application ID but different session IDs, the user can manage two sessions with the same application concurrently.

Building on this, if the application supports concurrent logon by the same userid then the same setup can be used.  Whether or not the user can sign on to an application more than once at a time using the same userid is a function of that application, not CA TPX.
