Problem:

When running CAF STATUS after the agent install on a Solaris box you may see the following error displayed (or similar):

Querying caf for status information...
Secure Socket Adapter_D: locating SSA. Failed to load library

/opt/CA/SharedComponents/Csam/SockAdapter/lib/libcasocket.so: 2 ld.so.1: caf:
fatal: /opt/CA/SharedComponents/Csam/SockAdapter/lib/libcasocket.so:

Permission denied

Environment:

CA Client Automation - All Versions

Resolution:

Change permissions using chmod on /Csam folder and /SockAdapter and /lib to rw-r--r--

SAMPLE COMMAND (to be run by permissioned user):

chmod 644 /opt/CA/Csam

If it still fails at this point, make sure the /etc/profile.CA has read execute (rwxr-xr-x) permissions for the user:

chmod 755 /etc/profile.CA

Now try the command again and verify that it succeeds.
