CABI Configuration for CA Service Desk Manager fails with "Unknown error code 1

Issue:

After finishing CA Business Intelligence Server installation, it has to be configured through the option below:

> CA Business Intelligence Configuration for CA Service Desk Manager
> (Configure CA Business Intelligence on the computer where it was installed)

It does not finish because of the following error message:

Cause:

We have seen that the CABI media (CABI_DVD10110543M) was copied to a long path, making use of sub folders structure containing spaces and accents

E.g.:

c:\atualização 14.1\CABI\CABI_DVD10110543M.iso

 

Resolution:

In order to avoid such problems when configuring CABI, you should create a short folder structure, as follows:

c:\installers141\CABI_DVD10110543M.iso

After doing it, the CABI configuration should complete with success.
