CA VMWare Inventory not created

Issue:
Customer was trying to get the CA UIM to Spectrum gateway working to pass inventory & alarms between UIM and Spectrum and have been having issues with the integration. The problem we are experiencing is that the inventory doesn't seem to be being created. 

In UIM the link between VMWare guests and their ESX server is fine, however the link between the ESX server and the Vcenter server is broken. 
After a full rediscovery the link existed for a few minutes, then all of a sudden it got lost. 

 
Environment:
UIM 8.51
VMWARE 6.87 meanwhile upgraded to hf5 
Spectrum integration
Resolution:
A hotfix was created for that which resolved this.
Provided hotfix: vmware-6.8.7-HF8.zip
