CA Spectrum asserting a "BAD LINK DETECTED" alarm on virtual interface when the associated physical interface is in an admin/oper down status
ROOT CAUSE: Interface relationships between virtual and physical interface models are not being considered by Spectrum Fault Isolation and Root Cause analysis.
The Spectrum_09.04.00.PTF_9.4.102 patch addresses this issue for CA Spectrum release 9.4.1:
When the interface has admin down status and sub interface has critical alarm then the alarm on the sub interface is shown critical instead of suppressed.
When the interface is in admin down status and sub interface has critical alarm then alarm on sub interface will be suppressed.
This fix is not included in 9.4.2.
This is tentatively scheduled to be resolved in CA Spectrum 10.0
