CA Service Desk Manager, when set to start services automatically, may not start up correctly after the server is rebooted.
CA Service Desk Manager (ALL VERSIONS)
Microsoft Windows Server (ALL VERSIONS)
Typically this is due to the dependent services not being completely started prior to CA Service Desk Manager attempting to start up and connect to the database.
While we do not recommend having the services set to start automatically, adding a delay to the startup of at least 5 minutes may prevent the problem from occurring by allowing the dependencies to properly startup prior to CA Service Desk Manager attempting to start up. In most environments, this delay allows CA Service Desk Manager services to start properly.
