Introduction:

How to delete CA PPM BO report instances automatically after certain number of Instances and clean up older instances? 

Background:

In you day to day usage of CA PPM CABI, there is a need of maintenance of report instances which are stored in BO server just like you clean up the CA PPM Notification or Report Logs from PPM. In order to clean up the report Instances you can follow the instructions below 

Environment:
CA PPM 13.x to 14.3
Instructions:

How to delete the Report Instances

 

1. Login to CMC Console 

2. On the CMC home Page --> Under Manage, Click On Instance Manager

3. On the Instance Manager Page, you can filter for the Report Status,Dates 

4. Once the filter fetches the result, you can manually select and delete the report instances

 

How to set the Limit on Number of Instances 

1. Login to CMC Console 

2. On the CMC home Page --> Under organize, Click On Folders

3. Under the Folder --> Click on any of Report Properties 

4. Click on the Limits --> Check Delete excess instances when there are more than N instances of an object

Note: You can mention the number based on your needs of old report instances
