Question:
The host name in TERMINAL class was changed after upgrading PIM Endpoint from the old version to the new version like this.

Old version:

editres TERMINAL ('HostName1.co.jp') audit(FAILURE) defaccess(READ) owner('nobody')

New version:
editres TERMINAL ('HostName1') audit(FAILURE) defaccess(READ) owner('nobody')

How come?

Environment:
Windows
CA PIM 12.8SP1
Answer:
It depends on OS behavior.
OS recognizes as HostName1 instead of HostName1.co.jp.
Please check hosts file of OS.
If the short host name is written in the hosts file, the host name of TERMINAL class will be set the short host name.
