Description:

Using CA Jobtrac JM r11, this Knowledge Document will show you how to find out if an event will be scheduled on a certain date.

Solution:

Things to consider when running forecasts:

  • CA Datacom must be active.

  • CA Jobtrac JM must have been initialized.

  • If a forecast schedule is run for current date, late indicators can be posted to the event status.

  • Once a schedule is loaded to the forecast database, you can make changes through the ISPF interface.

  • All the events for a forecast token can be cleared off before schedule load.

  • You can then start new, or you can load additional schedules.

  • If you attempt to specify the production database for a forecast, the forecast issues a message and terminates the forecast.
The forecast checkpoint looks and acts like the production schedule, but no events will submit.

First forecasting an event we will do the following. We will be forecasting event JOBA which is allowed to run on holidays.
JOBB will not run on holidays. February 2nd and 16th are holidays for the month of February.
