Description:

CA Jobtrac Job Management Autosched job gets submitted to run on a monitor system and is put on hold by design. Primary Jobtrac then issue the JES release command, but the job remains on hold. Why is this?

Solution:

This can occur when the JES release command occurs faster then the JES hold command. In order to fix this you will need to set the run parm option '$HJWAIT=' to a higher value. If your current value is 15 (milliseconds), you should increase the value to 250 (2.5 seconds) to give JES a chance to issue the JES hold.
