Issue:

CA ITCM Upgrade failing with below error:

CA IT Client Manager Setup could not validate the given settings. 

Database 'mdb' was not found on server %ServerName% (instance %InstanceName%)

To achive this:

check your credentials.

For details see log file TRC_Inst2_ITRM.log

Please change your setting to install or cancel setup.

The MDB is remote and client is using named instance.

Environment:
Applicable all CA ITCM Versions.
Cause:

The upgrade of the mdb will fail if the logged in user does not have SA rights.

Resolution:

Please log in as domain user that has SA rights on the remote SQL server and re-run the installation.
