CA IDMS Started Task Is not coming down

Issue:

After issuing a SHUTDOWN of the CA IDMS CV, it does not respond. It remains active and users are still able to access IDMS.

 

Environment:

z/OS 

 

Solution:

Use DCMT SHUTDOWN IMM and apply RO89706.
