CA Identity Portal Uniqueness check

Issue:
We currently have uniqueness checking setup on CA Identity Manager for when a user enters an existing email address. Inside Identity Portal when a duplicate email address is entered we receive a stack trace error message stating that the email address is not unique. We want to avoid this stack trace message by setting a uniqueness checker on Identity Portal. Is this possible?

Resolution:
Unfortunately there is not an Out-Of-The-Box solution for a uniqueness checker in Identity Portal. Since there is no user store the uniqueness check doesn't happen on an Identity Portal level. This needs to be implemented on the connector level.

However some custom work with plugins, you may be able to achieve this.
