CA Datacom Server reconnect after TCP/IP failure

After a TCP/IP failure and restart, CA Datacom Servers were not able to reconnect. It was necessary to stop and restart all servers to allow connections to be made through Datacom Server again. Is there a way to reestablish connections after TCPIP is restarted on an LPAR?
There is not much that CA Datacom Server can do when the communications is lost so the best practice is to restart all the Datacom Server regions after a TCP/IP failure and restart.
