Question:
Is there a way to increase the logging in order to see which events are being passed through a CA Data protection policy engine?
Environment:
CA Data Protection (DataMinder)
Answer:
The logging is controlled by a registry entry (see below) on the Policy Engine machine and the output is appended to the Data protections Activity Logs locate din the %wgndatadir%\Logs directory.

The registry key isĀ

Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ComputerAssociates\CA DataMinder\CurrentVersion\UserProcess\LogLevel

And the default value is '2' increasing this to '4' provides full verbose output.
Additional Information:
CA DataMinder, CA DLP and Orchestria are all previous brand names associated with the product now known as CA Data protection.
