Question:

What has changed from the Spectrum 10.1.1 Beta version of JasperServer to the GA Release of JasperServer?

Answer:

Various Reports were updated, along with data sources.  The license also was updated to a newer license.

Customers who had/have the beta version install will need to reinstall the GA release.

Question:

When will CA release a Linux version of JasperServer?

Answer:

CABI 6.2 will release a Linux version of JasperServer.  CABI 6.2 will be supported by Spectrum 10.2.

Question:

JasperSoft documentation shows how to setup LDAP authentication.  CA's JasperServer media does not have the required files to set this up.

When will CA be adding LDAP to it's release of JasperServer?

Answer:

CA engineering is currently testing this out.  There are steps to get this done but they are very manual.

CA is looking to make this easier for customers.  However, it will be coming in a future JasperServer release from CA.

Question:

When will CA release more reports from previous versions of CABI into JasperServer Reports for Spectrum?

Answer:

CA is doing a phased release for the reports and jasper domains.  With each release of Spectrum (Major/Minor I.e. Not PTFs) we will release more reports and functionality to Jasper.  The idea is to allow customers to slowly phase out previous CABI (BOXI) and bring JasperServer in.  Currently Spectrum 10.2 and CABI 6.2 will include more reports out of the box.
