CA API Management: Policy Manager throws the error 'Invalid Trust Store configuration'

When launching policy manager you receive the below error:




When you click 'OK' it may then proceed to the login dialog. Once credentials are entered you will be met with the below:



Policy manager running on a supported version of Windows

This is typically caused by a corruption of the .l7tech directory. 


To resolve the problem: 

  1.  Backup the folder C:\users\<username>\.l7tech
  2.  Make sure the Policy Manager and associated java processes are not running 
  3. Rename the .l7tech folder
  4. Re-launch policy manager and a new folder will be created
  5. If you have any policies saved to the default location you can copy the contents of your backup folder to .l7tech\policy.templates
