CA API Developer Portal: Error connecting to the server when retrieving API's

When listing API's in Portal 3.5 you may receive the message "Error connecting to the server"  and no API's returned.

This issue can occur when the number of API's exceeds 5000.

In the Gateway published portalman service there is a JDBC assertion responsible for retrieving the published services. Out of the box this limits the results to 5000. In the case that more services exist this value will need to be increased. 

1. Open the portalman service (/portalman/*) in the Policy manager
2. Use the search bar to locate the assertion 'Perform JDBC Query'
3. Edit the assertion properties and increase the value for 'The maximum number of records returned by the query'.

Note: You may also need to increase the 'Query timeout' value depending on how large of a data set is retrieved.
