Abstract

WSO can be used to view ERwin r4 models as they exist in the Repository work tables. This paper will document the process by describing how to create new Search Objects that will enable you to use WSO to query the Repository ERwin XML work tables. Please note that the queries use features that are only available starting with DB2 8.

Solution

The following steps describe how to create three search objects in AR/zOS that will allow the user to review the ERwin XML work tables. The First search object ERwin Uploads will show a list of models uploaded to the repository work tables. Along with each model name is the load status and the location of the ERwin Model. Click on the location and you will launch ERwin. The second search object, Objects Uploaded will show all of the repository objects and values for the ERwin objects for a specific model. The third search object, Text Uploaded will show all of the text to be loaded into the repository. These three search objects will allow you to view the ERwin model in repository terminology prior to the load.
