Question:

User has an issue with someone not authorized to use the ZPARM options of thread terminator to change setting on a production DB2 system. Is there a way to secure the ZPARM side of this, and leave to his users the use the thread terminator other options?

Answer:

To block a user from updating the DSNZPARM, remove access to PTTPLN06=XXXXXXXX Manage DB2 Default Group.  By removing that access the user will not be able to update the ZPARMs & Active Logs.
