Environment:
NFA 9.3+
Windows 2008
Windows 2012
Cause:
One or more of these factors could be contributing tho this behavior:
  • You are not accessing the website with the FQDN, Host Name, or DNS Friendly Name.
  • The certificates "issued to" or "subject alternative names" do not include FQDN, Host Name, or DNS Friendly Name.
  • The URL accessing the Web Site MUST match the "issued to" value or one of the "subject alternative names" in the certificate.
  • A domain policy can force your browser to use HTTPS via HSTS.
  • The NFA Console server does not have access to the Certificate CRL Server.
Resolution:
We currently have patches for 9.3.3 and 9.3.8 to bypass this issues.

NFA 9.3.8:
  1. Download the 9.3.8 Cumulative Patch from the FTP: NFA_9.3.8_CP_001.zip
  2. Extract files to a directory outside of $INSTALLDIR/CA/NFA.
  3. Stop all CA / NetQoS Services.
  4. Extract the files and follow the instructions carefully in the patch readme.
  5. Start all CA / NetQoS Services.
NFA 9.3.3:
  1. Download the patch from the FTP: NFA_9.3.3_PDF_HTTPS_DE346944PTF_9.3.3.06.zip
  2. Extract files to a directory outside of $INSTALLDIR/CA/NFA.
  3. Stop all CA / NetQoS Services.
  4. Backup the following directories to a new folder $INSTALL_DIR\NFA\REPORTER\PatchBackup
    • $INSTALL_DIR\NFA\REPORTER\NetQoS.ReporterAnalyzer.ManagerService\bin
    • $INSTALL_DIR\NFA\REPORTER\NetQoS.ReporterAnalyzer.WebSite\bin
  5. Copy the 2 extracted folders to the $INSTALL_DIR\NFA\REPORTER\ and select "Replace the files in the destination" when prompted so that it replaces/merges the contents.
  6. Start all CA / NetQoS Services.
