Problem:

Base on the documentation, the Baseline Variance should be Baseline Usage minus Total Usage, but when placed on the TSV on various portlets (including Team Detail, Weekly Detail and Resource Workloads) the Baseline Variance shows as Baseline Usage plus Total Usage.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a Project, add a resource to the Team and assign them to a task, add 12 ETC for next week (from this the total Usage is 12 ETC + 0 Actuals = 12 Total Usage hours)
  2. Create a Baseline on the Project. (this makes the Baseline Usage = 12 hours)
  3. Go to Resource Planning > Weekly Detail portlet, and configure Total Usage, Baseline Usage and Baseline Variance to the Time Scale View
Expected Result: Baseline Usage to show 0 hours on the Time Scale
Actual Result:     Baseline Usage shows 24 hours on the Time Scale

Environment:

Applies to all supported releases of PPM

Cause:

Caused by CLRT-75716
