Question:
How can I apply the license key for Harvest?
Answer:
The license key for CA Harvest Software Change Manager will be found in a file named “ca.olf”.  If you do not already have a file with this name, you should contact our Licensing team and they can provide this for you.  You can find the best way to contact support in your country here: https://www.ca.com/us/services-support/ca-support/contact-support.html

This ca.olf file will be installed in your licensing directory.

On Windows 32-bit machines, the folder name is “C:\Program Files\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC”
On Windows 64-bit machines, the folder name is “C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SharedComponents\CA_LIC”
On Linux and Unix machines, the folder name is /opt/CA/SharedComponents/ca_lic

If you are upgrading or installing to a new broker machine, this file is not platform or version specific and can be copied from your old broker machine.

There is also a utility called “mergeolf” that is found in this same folder.  It can be used to combine the information from a new ca.olf file with what is found in an existing ca.olf file.  If you need more information on this utility, let me know.
