Question:

Are CA TCPaccess Comunication Server and CA TCPaccess Ftp Server SSL Compliant ?

Answer:

No , We did not add the SSL piece to FTP early on, and because of stabilization

and now EOL of the CA TCPaccess CS and CA TCPaccess Ftp Server , it is not going to happen.

So both the TCPaccess FTP Server and FTP2 and FTP3 clients are not SSL

compatible. The external T05 FTP server also does not supply SSL.

We have no workaround within the product.

Additional Information:

If you only run the TCPaccess stack, the recommendation we have used in the past is to use IBM's free OPENSSH product.

It uses OE sockets so can connect through our stack and provide secure  FTP.

It transfers files through USS so the processing is quite different.

Information can be found by doing a google search on  IBM Ported Tools for z/OS - OpenSSH

There's an install Guide, a User's Guide and various other helpful  documents if you want to go that route.

If you are currently using both TCPaccess and IBM's TCP/IP, you may want

to convert your FTP over to use IBM as it does supply SSL support. "
