Introduction:

When applying Gen 8.6 IR1 (or any other large Gen r8.6 PTF) on any Windows VM system with Mcafee's "MOVE AV Client" installed and running, the self-extraction step can fail with the error:

"CreateFile() error 5 when trying set file time".

This error occurs due to a scanning timeout when Mcafee is running.  In particular, Mcafee's "MOVE AV Client" which runs on VM's.

Environment:
On Any Windows VM system with Mcafee's "MOVE AV Client" installed and running.
Instructions:

Following are instructions to a workaround for this problem:

-  Start 'MOVE AV Multi-Platform Client Command Prompt' from the Start Menu.
-  In the newly started command window, issue 'mvadm config show'. This will list the MOVE AV's configuration.
-  Check the ScanTimeout value. According to the MOVE AV Client documentation, the default should be 45 seconds.
-  If 'ScanTimeout' is less (perhaps set to 10), modify the value with 'mvadm config set ScanTimeout=45'.
-  Reissue 'mvadm config show' to verify the ScanTimeout has changed.
-  Rerun the PTF self-extraction which originally created the error.

If the problem persists, perform the last three steps again as follows:

-  Increase the ScanTimeout value once again, for example 'mvadm config set ScanTimeout=90'
-  Reissue 'mvadm config show' to verify the ScanTimeout has changed.
-  Rerun the PTF self-extraction which originally created the error.
