Problem

The Application server service on the primary server abruptly gone down.

 

Environment:

Workload Automation AE 11.3.5 Incr3 HADS on Solaris with Oracle database

 

 Cause:

 

The core file and pstack  <compete path of core file> was collected and reviewed

It was found that the application server crashed while allocating memory for retrieving the job logs.

This can happen when we have large log files.

 

Workaround:

There is a configuration named LogMaxEndLines. If the parameter is 0 then it tries to retrieve the entire job logs and crash the as_server when large log files are retrieved. 
Please set LogMaxEndLines=200 to retrieve last 200 lines instead.
