Description:

The following error occurs while trying to use the deployment wizard to deploy the ITCM agents:

Solution:

This error occurs due to a failure to connect to the DMDeploy server.

Run the following command to check whether 'DMDeploy' is enabled and running:
caf status dmdeploy

Run the following commands to enable/start the DMDeploy plugin.

To start:
caf start dmdeploy

To enable:
caf enable dmdeploy

If the above procedure does not help do the following:

  • In the DSM Explorer window, right click the DSM Explorer, Browse Domains, type the hostname of the Domain Manager and hit OK;
  • In the new DSM Explorer window test the deployment. If it works fine, right click the domain name and select 'Set as Default Domain';
  • Close both the DSM Explorer sessions, open a new one and redo the test.
