Information on how to configure a Support Automation Role to have access to use the Support Automation Task Editor.

Solution:

When using the Support Automation Task Editor for the first time you may see the following error:

This error is received if the login credentials you enter into the Support Automation Task Editor does not have the correct rights. To correct this perform the following:

Log into Service Desk Manager with an account that has Administrator rights. Access the Administration tab, and navigate to "Security and Role Management" and then "Support Automation Access Control".

Open up the "Analyst" Role

Press the "Edit" button, and check the option "Allow to use Automated Task IDE", this feature grants the rights to make changes using the Support Automation Task Editor.
