Alarms not clearing between UIM and Spectrum with spectrumgtw

If you are have bidirectional integration with Spectrum and alarms are not clearing on either side check the logs for the following error:

Spectrum 10.2Unified Infrastructure Manager (UIM) 8.5Spectrumgtw 8.47

This is usually caused by not fully installing all components required in Spectrumgtw integration.


Make sure all necessary components are installed:

  1. Open the Probe Utility in either Admin Console or Infrastructure Manager for the Trellis probe.
    • In Infrastructure Manager, select the Trellis probe on the primary hub, then press Ctrl-P
    • In Admin Console, navigate to Trellis probe on the primary hub, then click the three dots next to the green box
    • Select "View Probe Utility in New Window"
  2. Select "List_deployments"
  3. You should see the following deployments installed, if you do not - please drag and drop them from the archive to the primary hub and deactivate/reactivate trellis.
    • alarm-routing-service
    • spectrumgtw-uim-service
    • nas-api-service
    • nas
  4. If these are installed and you are still having problems, verify that you have ems installed on your primary hub. Ems version should match your UIM version.
  5. Deactivate spectrumgtw
  6. Delete the the contents of the Nimsoft/probes/gateway/spectrumgtw/cache folder
  7. Activate spectrumgtw
  8. Open the spectrumgtw GUI in Admin Console
    • Under Spectrum Configuration, Click "Actions"
    • Under Actions do both "Synchronize All Alarms Now" and "Synchronize All Inventory Now"
The issue should now be resolved
