Issue:

Alarmnotifier.exe is not running automatically.
However it could be started manually.
From NOTIFIER.OUT, the following is observed:
AlarmNotifier: - .alarmrc: SPC-SAN-20025: Unable to open resource file
AlarmNotifier: - SPC-SAN-20025: Unable to open resource file

Environment:

All Spectrum versions running on Windows Platform

Cause:

The file .alarmrc has been renamed to ALARMRC.alarmrc.

Resolution:

Rename the file back to its correct name, i.e rename ALARMRC.alarmrc to .alarmrc following the below procedure:
Close any open .alarmrc file from the explorer
Open command prompt, run the below commands:
bash -l
cd $SPECROOT/Notifier
ls
You should see the file ALARMRC.alarmrc, rename it to .alarmrc running the below commands:
mv ALARMRC.alarmrc .alarmrc
Verify the file has been renamed, you could do so by running the below command:
ls -a
You should now see file by the name .alarmrc, also verify the file ALARMRC.alarmrc does NOT exist
Now, restart the alarmnotifer service for the changes to take effect running the below command:
cd $SPECROOT/lib/SDPM
./processd.exe -restart
