Agent's connection with Application Server fails

Issue:

Command "autoping -M <Machine Name> -S" fails with the following error:

CAUAJM_I_50023 AutoPinging Machine [Machine Name] 

CAUAJM_I_50031 Checking the Agent's connectivity to the Application Server. 

CAUAJM_E_50037 ERROR: Agent failed to communicate with Application Server. 

CAUAJM_E_50041 ERROR: Agent returned <ApiExceptionWithInfo, CAUAJM_E_10045 An invalid encryption key was specified.>. 

CAUAJM_E_50281 AutoPing from the Scheduler WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. 

 

CAUAJM_E_50037 ERROR: Agent failed to communicate with Application Server. 

CAUAJM_E_50041 ERROR: Agent returned <ApiExceptionWithInfo, CAUAJM_E_10045 An invalid encryption key was specified.>. 

CAUAJM_E_50283 AutoPing from the Application Server WAS NOT SUCCESSFUL. 

 

Environment:
CA WAAE Scheduler 11.3.*CA WA Client 11.3.6 SP*CA WA Agent 11.3 SP*
Cause:

After making sure that the correct encryption type and key are in place, it looks like the failure is caused by inappropriate environment settings.

Resolution:

Check that the agent's startup script waae_agent-WA_AGENT has the appropriate settings for PATH and LD_LIBRARY_PATH/LIBPATH.

Start up the agent using the waae_agent-<Agent Name> startup script or  the "unisrvcntr start/stop" command.
