Description:

How does APM Introscope Dot Net Agent determine the name of the Application Process?

Resolution

The Dot Net Agent automatically takes the COM+ object name without a dllhost in the .Net agent.

The COM+ object name is displayed in the APM Introscope Investigator tree.

The COM+ object agent name determination logic is to use the Process ID of the instrumented dllhost.exe to query the COM+ name from the Windows Management Interface.  This same function applies to the "Native Profiler" as well.
