Description:

When trying to instrument 9.1.4.0 agent, client gets an error:

"Unable to instrument. Invalid settings provided: 3 Can't proceed because the flag "Axis1ServerCorrelationTracing" is never declared."

Solution:

If appmap-soa.pbd is enabled in the Autoprobe directives, the modifications below can be saved and then dropped into hot-deploy. Please note that you may experience some duplication errors as it will reinstrument the file.

Should you not have appmap-soa.pbd enabled in the Autoprobe directives, then you can make the changes and drop it into the hotdeploy directory.

For best results, it is better to make the change and then restart the Agent.

==

If appmap-soa.pbd is added in the agent profile, please take the following steps:

Take a backup of appmap-soa.pbd.

Open the appmap-soa.pbd fiel with a text editor.

Change "Axis1ServerCorrelationTracing" to "Axis1ServerTracing" (as shown below)

Save the file

Place it in hotdeploy and check if it helps get past the problem/error.
