Environment:
APM 10.5.x agent
Cause:

Problem specific to applications running Java 1.6 which is not supported in 10.5 (the BrowserAgentExt.jar is only Java 1.7+ compatible).

10.5 CA APM Release Notes > 10.5 Features > Java Agent > Java 1.6 No Longer Supported

Resolution:

The agent support for JRE 1.6 is planned to be restored in the next release 10.5.2.

10.5.1 Hot Fix 6 is also now available to provide agent support for Java 1.6

Additional Information:

KB TEC1001777 : "After upgrade of APM EM cluster to 10.5.1 would also like to upgrade 9.6 agents for Weblogic 11g R1 and 12c under Java runtime 1.6. However JRE 1.6 support has been dropped in 10.5.x"
