Introduction:

After applying any CA Asset Portfolio Management prerequisite, cumulative or test fix patch, the patch level is not automatically displayed under Windows Control Panel, Programs and Features, View installed updates

Environment:
CA Asset Portfolio Management 12.x, 14.x or 17.x releases with cumulative or test fix patches applied
Instructions:

Perform the following steps on both the Web and Application servers.

   1. Log in to the server with a user that has access to edit the registry

   2. Open the Registry Editor ('regedit' from a command prompt)

Choose 1 of the options in steps 3-7 below, then complete steps 8-10

   3.  If operating system is 64-bit and APM 12.x, navigate to:  

       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
       \Uninstall\{54DD2761-24F0-4D87-BD4D-597FAE954E14}

   4. If operating system is 32-bit and APM 12.x, navigate to: 

       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
       \Uninstall\{54DD2761-24F0-4D87-BD4D-597FAE954E14}

   5.  If operating system is 64-bit and APM 14.x, navigate to: 

      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
       \Uninstall\{B625DCB8-6DA9-42E6-B666-9466EF6F02CB}

   6.  If operating system is 32-bit and APM 14.x navigate to:

       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
       \Uninstall\{B625DCB8-6DA9-42E6-B666-9466EF6F02CB}

   7.  If the server is 64-bit and APM 17.x, navigate to: 

       HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion
       \Uninstall\{2313729D-9D4A-4F68-9425-6261FF8B495A}

   8. Find the key 'SystemComponent' (in the right window)

   9. Right-click on 'SystemComponent', choose Modify -> Value data, and change the value to 0

 10. Close the registry editor

 11. Launch the Control Panel, select programs, programs and features, and select view installed updates. 

 12. Verify the CA Asset Portfolio Management patches or test fixes are now visible.
