The encountered problem was related to “pcre-8.10.dll” missing on the machine,
because it was removed by the anti-virus after the reboot.
Some Anti-viruses like Kaspersky Anti-Virus 8.0 consider this dll as a Trojan and remove it.
Kaspersky Anti-Virus has blocked access to C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\iTechnology\prce-8.10.dll on computer …….
Reason: Malicious object detected.
Detected Trojan, Win64.ShadowBrokers.ac.
User name: localuser. Computer name: localhost.-
The recommended solution is to exclude the path to the CA directory on your Anti-virus.
Then you can copy the pcre-8.10.dll from a working environment and past it under:
C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\iTechnology
Problem resolved by applying the solution. Application Server is restarted successfully after restoring the dll.
