AE UI becomes unresponsive and shows an "OutOfMemoryError' exception in the UI trace log.
Resolution:

Symptoms

In AE v9 and v10, when editing RA Agent jobs and/or tasks, the UI becomes unresponsive and there is an "OutOfMemoryError" exceptionin the UI trace log.

 


Cause

There is a memory leak in the UI when RA Agent panels aredisplayed. That means that editing RA Agent objects (and clicking on the RAAgents tabs) causes the memory usage of the UI to steadily grow and eventuallyreach maximum size. When that happens the UI will become unresponsive and an "OutOfMemoryError" exception will be written to the UI trace log.

This issue is being tracked under PRB0309384,and will be resolved in a future release.

 


Resolution

Once the UI memory reaches the max size, and the exceptionoccurs, the only way to resolve the issue is to exit and reopen the UI.
