Issue:
With z/OS 2.3, a Ca Disk BACKUPCC get this error:
ADSDI106 3870 LENGTH OF TAPE HEADER DELIVERED BY DSS IS 90
No problems with the same job running under z/OS 2.2
Environment:
z/OS 2.3
Cause:
Please open a request to IBM to understand why in z/OS 2.3 the tape header length is 90.

z/OS 2.2 length is x’22’=d’34’, it is correct length. z/OS 2.3 length is x’5A’=d’90’, It is incorrect length. 
  
The control record ADRTAPB length is 16.
DTHDR length for both 2.2 and 2.3 are same.
The length is x’12’=d’18’. 
Please ask IBM why z/OS 2.3 DTPPFXLN in ADRTAPB is 90.

At this stage no resolution is available. The issue is currently being researched by IBM. Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
