Question:

Is there a way I can publish data to an existing database,  where the publish can produce multiple records using the same unique key?   Our underlying database does allow the update of indexes, but Datamaker will restrict changes since it will mark the generation of multiple records with the same key as duplicates. Is there a way to accomplish this task?

Answer:

There is no way you can change the default behaviour of a unique index in Datamaker.   Even though in this scenario, where you publish multiple records that could contain the same unique key,  it would be a violation of the key. If you need to have the ability to publish using unique keys for updating,  we  recommend re-registering the table that you are trying to publish in Datamaker,  and remove the unique keys to allow duplicate publishing of the column.
