Question:

ADD/RETRIEVE element from/to local directory is no longer working on CMEW, how to fix that ?

Answer:

The digital signature in CMEW applet has recently expired. This applet is used in CMEW to ADD and RETRIEVE element from and to a local file system.

Default Java settings do not allow running web applet code when signature is expired, this issue will be fixed once efix161020 is applied.  Please contact CA support to get the CMEW efix161020, the readme file in the efix161020.zip has the detailed instruction on how to install/uninstall efix161020.

Note:

  • ADD/RETRIEVE element from/to local file system will not work on Chrome browser as Chrome no longer supports Java applets.
  • After efix161020 installation, delete the expired ewapplets before launching the IE browser by opening Control Panel -> Java Control Panel -> View, delete the expired ewapplets (if there is any ewapplets.jar showing modified in 2014):
