After adding a TIM monitor, a series of error messages appear including:
**ERROR timapmpacketcomm: exiting on timeout reading magic number from apmpacket
**ERROR hub: ApmPacketComm: E0Ffrom timapmpacketcomm
**ERROR hub: ApmPacketComm: error sending config client request to timapmpacketcomm
Typically this issue is related to the FQDN (Fully-qualified domain name) or Java version. To see whether this is true or not, do the following:
1. Upgrade the JDK to a supported version for APM 9.7.
2. Check if the host name is correct using the ping and nslookup commands.
If above is correct, then login as root and collect the below information. This will check if apmpacket dependencies are correct.
# service apmpacket status
# rpm -qVvv apmpacket
