Question:
When running ACF2 Reports in Batch, i.e. via a JCL Job, to clarify the JCL 'PARM' Parameter and
where to find information on how to code this correctly, the following will help you?
Answer:
The following pertains to all ACF2 Reports run in Batch, but choosing one ACF2 Report as an
example, information on the ACFRPTDS Report, can be found on the CA web site, DOCOPS, at the
following link:
https://docops.ca.com/ca-acf2-for-z-os/16-0/en/reporting/acfrptds-data-set-program-event-log#ACFRPTDS-DataSet/ProgramEventLog-CommonParameters
...and under the heading 'Common Parameters', this will give you detailed guidance on Parameters
used in the JCL 'PARM' Parameter, but just for this Report. If you review the 'Common Parameters'
heading for each of the different ACF2 Reports documented in DOCOPS, this will give you detailed
guidance on Parameters used in the JCL 'PARM' Parameter, pertaining to whichever ACF2 Report
you are reading about.

All the different ACF2 Reports documented in DOCOPS, have a heading titled 'Running the Report
Using JCL'. If you review this section, for whichever ACF2 Report you're interested in running, via
JCL, there you'll find a link on information on running the Report, 'Using Sample JCL to Execute
Reports'. This link takes you to the heading 'Reporting':
https://docops.ca.com/ca-acf2-for-z-os/16-0/en/reporting
...from here, select the link heading 'Common Parameters and Descriptions' at:
https://docops.ca.com/ca-acf2-for-z-os/16-0/en/reporting#Reporting-CommonParametersandDescriptions
...and this will detail the 'PARM' parameter of the EXEC statement in a JCL Job to allow you to run
any ACF2 Report of your choice.
