Access Gateway ProxyUI Error

Issue:

After setting up a new Access Gateway host, the following exception/error is seen upon logging into the ProxyUI:

The CA Access Gateway Admin Console application is not protected. Please protect the application using CA Single Sign-On and try to access it again. Please refer to the documentation for protecting the CA Access Gateway Admin Console.

Cause:
The ACO that Access Gateway was using was not created from the SPS ACO template.
Resolution:
Once a new ACO was created from the SPS ACO template the problem was resolved.
