On IP Resource Monitor, the use of wildcard character (*) on PREFIX command only works correctly when the wildcard is the trailing character mask, in spite of the fact of the help panel showing other uses of thewildcard character.

PTF RO69214 (RESOURCE MONITOR PREFIX COMMAND WILDCARD FUNCTION) changes the behavior of wildcard(s) in the Resource Monitor PREFIX command. If global $RMPMASK is set to YES, then for resource name mask, ? matches asingle character and * matches zero or more characters.
