After upgrading to CA Common Services r12, the startup of the CAS9 procedure may fail with a S806-04 abend because module S910INIT cannot be found. This problem will occur if the CARIMPRM member from the previously installed release is used. As documented in the Release Notes delivered with CA Common Services r12, S910INIT has been changed to CAS9INIT. Following is an example of what might be seen:
CAS9115I - INPUT: PRODUCT(CAIRIM) VERSION(S910) INIT(S910INIT)
CSV003I REQUESTED MODULE S910INIT NOT FOUND
CSV028I ABEND806-04 JOBNAME=CAS9 STEPNAME=CAS9
IEA989I SLIP TRAP ID=X806 MATCHED. JOBNAME=CAS9, ASID=004B.
IEA995I SYMPTOM DUMP OUTPUT 315
SYSTEM COMPLETION CODE=806 REASON CODE=00000004
Update the CAIRIM parameter file referenced by the CAS9 procedure, via the //PARMLIB DD statement, and change INIT(S910INIT) to INIT(CAS9INIT)
