There are scenarios where you create new users in Spectrum with restricted privileges. In this process you may encounter issues where user fails to perform few tasks. This document talks about the scenario where the new user is not able to change the model name of the devices though he can perform the discoveries.

This document talks about the following error which occurred when a new user is trying to change the model name of a device in Spectrum Oneclick.

Error Reported:

"The user running the landscape server on{1} does not have a user model on
the home landscape{2} or it's main landscape(as specified in the .locrc

Even though the error says that there is no new user model on the landscapes, the models do exist on these landscapes.

In order to get rid of the error please check the user permissions in the .hostrc file. Check if this user model is permitted to connect to Spectroserver from the host security tab in Spectrum control panel. In this case this is not added. So once you give these permissions to the user model, he should be able to modify things like model name change in the Oneclick.
